WebJan 7, 2008 · bayerj1. you have to get the motor parallel with the secondary shaft. you are supposed to get the motor so that when it torques back (clutch side) 1/8" it is parallel, to account for strain on the motor. not quite sure how, but i remember reading about it on this site. do a search, im sure you'll find it.

To expand on this a little farther, you want 5/8" at the rear of the clutch on the edge toward the motor, the other side of the clutch (toward the seat) should be less, since the motor torque will change the angle.
