In Forest you can have one main base that you can explore out from but in GH you have to keep building lots of little camps because you can't survive just exploring on your own. TLD also just has a lot more unique mechanics for its setting than GH, making it feel more immersive. Building a structure in Green Hell is pretty useless, I think. Maybe you need a roof here and there, but building a shelter is just not a purpose in the game.
